Pirate Skeleton
Pirates are an evergreen Halloween theme, and you can make a variety of props using skeleton, pirate cap, fish net, treasure chest, and ship wheel.
Though building a pirate ship is the hardest part, still you can build a ship with pallet wood in your yard. Here, a Home Depot pirate ship is used in this prop.
Monster Mud Reaper
Monster mud is a mixture of joint compound and exterior paint in a ratio of 5:1. When this mixture is used with a fabric to create statues with a concrete like finish.
To create a monster mud reaper, first you need to create a base structure made of PVC pipe and make the head using chicken wire. Soak a sheet in monster mud mixture and put it over the structure. Check out the tutorial.
Tape Ghost
This prop looks cool If you put it in your balcony or on a tree. To make this project, you need a mannequin head and body, packing tape, clear trash bags and fishing line to hang the ghost.
First wrap a trash bag on the mannequin head. To capture the details of the head, start putting packing tape from head to neck layer by layer. First, going up and down vertically, then horizontally and diagonally to create multiple layers. The same way put tape on body as well.

For this project, you need a large carvable foam pumpkin to make the head. If it’s a glowing Jack O’ Lantern, it even looks better at night. The body frame is made of PVC pipes cross. To make arms and hand, you can use wire hangers and tape them together.
You can further wrap arms and legs with pool noodles, and use a heat gun to shape long creepy fingers. Additionally, you can also use chicken wire to bulk it up and cover the body with landscape fabric. Plus, black spray paint the structure.
Creepy Girl Samara From The Ring
This Halloween prop is inspired by a scene from the movie The ring. This prop can be a great attraction for your lawn decoration. For this project, you have to create the well with Styrofoam blocks.
First cut the blocks with heat knife and arrange them to form a round shape well. Use spray foam to join the blocks. Then paint the well black and highlight the blocks with some gray.
For the girl, you can use a female mannequin body or a dummy. Put on the dress with a long hair wig to pose her like the girl in the movie.
Monster Tree
Creating a monster tree Halloween prop is pretty easy. Take a 12-inch cardboard tube from Lowe’s or Home Depot. With a free hand, draw eyes and mouth with a sharpie and cut them out.
Now come the fun part, spray insulation foam on the cardboard tube to create the tree like pattern. Once it dries, spray a brown paint and dry brush, few areas with a lighter shade to highlight.
You can make arms with pool noodles and fix it using dowel rod. Add red LED lights for glowing eyes and mouth.
